Job Title: Application Developer - Data Warehouse

Role Description
As an Application Developer - Data Warehouse, you will play an integral role in the development, implementation, and support of key technologies and solutions within the ERGO Group. You will work closely with both internal and external software engineers to manage the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and ensure the development of scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions.
Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities
- Take ownership of development responsibilities while actively participating in discussions and communicating technical concepts and solutions effectively.
- Demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills, with a passion for rapid prototyping and iterative development.
- Engage in database design and functional/technical requirements analysis, including new implementations and enhancements to existing systems.
- Identify opportunities for technology improvements and process optimizations, and initiate necessary measures.
- Support the entire SDLC, from requirement gathering to operational deployment, while managing collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Design, develop, and maintain solutions, applications, and services, ensuring comprehensive testing, documentation, and prototypes.
- Ensure scalability, performance, and security in solutions, while focusing on monitoring and establishing performance indicators.
- Contribute to incident and problem management by identifying and resolving issues in a timely manner.

- Familiarity with the following tools:
- Jira
- Confluence
- Git

Previous Experience & Qualifications
- Minimum Educational Qualification: Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related fields.
- Candidates with a non-computer science background must have a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
- Candidates with an MBA in IT, Insurance, or Finance are also welcome to apply for requirements engineer and test engineer roles.
Certification (if any):
- None required
Experience & Knowledge:
- Completed university or technical college studies in computer science or a related technical field, or equivalent education/training with several years of professional experience.
- Proficiency in English, with additional knowledge of the German language being a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal business communication skills.
- Experience in the insurance domain is an advantage.
